APT Water to Demonstrate ARO Nite Nitrate Removal Process
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
APTwater to Demonstrate ARoâ€Nite™Nitrate Removal Process for Cucamonga Valley Water District
To Revitalize Idle Groundwater Supply in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
LONG BEACH, Calif., April 15, 2011 – APTwater, Inc., an emerging leader in water treatment process technologies and services, has signed an agreement with the Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) to demonstrate its innovative ARoâ€Nite™nitrate removal technology. APTwater has been contracted to Design, Build, and Operate its new technology onâ€site, in order to revitalize one of CVWD’s nitrate laden decommissioned wells in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Following a successful demonstration period and permitting process, this full scale commercial treatment plant will reduce the District’s dependence on purchased, imported water.
The ARoâ€Nite™technology is the first commercially available technology of its kind. Using a naturally occurring biological process to destroy, rather than displace nitrate contaminants from drinking water, APTwater’s ARoâ€Nite™technology provides a sustainable option for treating this commonly found toxic chemical. "The Rancho Cucamonga project represents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the potential of our innovative technology to responsibly place decommissioned groundwater supplies back into service." APTwater COO Peter Bokor said.
The Cucamonga Valley Water District is a dynamic, growing organization whose sole purpose is to provide high quality, safe and reliable water and wastewater services, while practicing good stewardship of natural and financial resources.
