I attended the VSEP sales meeting this week in Emeryville, CA. As part of the program, we were taken on a tour of the Cache Creek Casino Water Treatment Plant. The Cache Creek Casino is owned by the Yoche Dehe Wintun Nation of Capay Valley, CA.

The plant was designed to treat 650,000 GPD of ground water with elevated silica, TDS of 540 mg/l, Sodium of 85 mg/l, and Chloride of 110 mg/l. The concentrate from the EDR system (less than 20% of the Raw) goes to the five (5) i84  (1500ft2) VSEP  (using RO membranes) for further concentration. The permeate from the VSEP combines with the permeate from the EDR for a produced water that has the TDS, Sodium, and Chloride reduced 62%.

Cache Creek is located about an hour north of Emeryville.
